HOW CAN WE MAKE IT SAFER AND EASIER TO WALK IN LAKE COUNTY?

To find out, the Lake Area Planning Council is developing a countywide study of pedestrian needs, gaps and project ideas. The study, called "Lake Walks," will evaluate the project ideas, then prioritize the ones that will most improve walking in the two cities—Clearlake and Lakeport—and in the smaller communities.

See the "Documents" tab for information about our work to date, and use the form below to sign up for updates and announcements about the Lake Walks study.

APRIL 2019 UPDATE
The Lake Walks study compiled an extensive inventory of pedestrian project ideas throughout the county. From that inventory, we recently shortlisted the 100 or so projects that are most likely to improve and encourage walking. These are now being analyzed in more detail, and will be scored and prioritized.

Check the Documents tab of this website for the lists and maps of the shortlisted projects.
